Jeanette Luchese an Italian - Canadian interdisciplinary visual artist, curator, educator with roots in the design arts, born in Toronto exhibiting nationally and abroad, engaging themes that grapple with identity, perception, memory, and a sense of place: creating within an intuitive process. Grant recipient of the Ontario Art Council and the City of Barrie Culture Department and Awards from Canada and Italy. Working from the PRNT Collective (printmaking) studio in Barrie and Innisfil, Ontario, Canada. Jeanette enjoys a mindful cross-pollination of disciplines in the interest of fracturing knowns to 'see, think differently' in the interest of diversity and a wider scope of understanding: drawing, printmaking, painting, sculpture, poetry and when so moved, transcribing the results to sound. Luchese graduated from the Design Arts at Sheridan College School of Design (Oakville) then took a a paradigm shift to visual arts at Georgian College Advance Fine Art, Barrie, Ontario.
